Here is a little about my story of how I became an optician.
As a young boy I had an accident in my eye and as a consequence I was regularly visiting the hospital in London. In those days it was called the Royal Nothern Hospital in Holloway.
When it came to choosing a career I felt at home in the optics world and so I chose to study what was then called ophthalmic optics at UMIST in Manchester. That was back in 1984.
After graduating I worked for a number of multiple and independent stores but I eventually opened my own practice in High Stevenage in 2003.
It has now been going for 16 years and so I saw this small independent optical practice in Stevenage and I thought it would be new opportunity to bring quality eye care and service to Stevenage.
I firmly believe that the practice is warm, friendly and innovative, with a future-focus on providing the very latest optical services available. Served by our dedicated team, we make a point of welcoming each patient with a cup of coffee, and every appointment is tailored around your specific concerns and requirements.
We fundamentally believe that your eyes aren’t just cogs in your body’s living factory. They are your windows into the world, and they require the very best clinical care. This is why every one of our decisions is governed by our desire to provide excellent service, invest in cutting-edge optical technology and hand-select the latest frames from an array of internationally sought-after designers.
We also have a strong focus on quality, so we only stock premium frames and lenses, rather than a cheap short-term fixes. So you can be assured that eyewear bought with us will be of the highest quality and will last for many years to come.
